Artist Bio
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Adriane now lives in Hammonds Plains and creates in her home studio.
Adriane uses acrylic and mixed media to create colourful, dramatic pieces. She draws inspiration from nature, colour, her travels, and a love of life; compelling her to capture the beauty she sees everywhere. Her works are colourful and happy, sometimes whimsical and often tranquil.
In her recent works, Adriane is exploring abstraction through fluidity, colour, motion, line, shape and texture. Seascapes, landscapes, florals and trees are favourite subjects to paint as well.
Adriane's work is collected in homes across Canada and the US. She participates in various local and online shows throughout the year.
Following a 30-year business career in the Telecom Industry, Adriane has been passionate about creating and sharing her work. She is a member of VANS (Visual Arts Nova Scotia) and enjoys giving back to her community through art. She regularly supports Mosaics for Mental Health and L’Arche fundraisers.
